“When we pay attention to Nature's music, we find that everything on the Earth contributes to its harmony" Hazrat Inayat Khan

Nature is constantly speaking to us…if we listen to its rhythm,it will bring us back to what is most essential and real within us. The Universe, nature, and our own being are made of the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. When we deepen into these powerful energies we understand ourselves and our essence, and come to know ourselves through the divine qualities manifesting within them.

Through meditation, dance, sacred ritual, and contemplative time in nature, this weekend retreat will provide an opportunity to go more deeply within. By so doing, you have a greater capacity to accept yourself as you are, whilst simultaneously opening up to qualities or aspects you may not have been aware of in yourself.

Date:Friday 19th July 2019 arriving and completing Sunday 21st July

Venue: High Weald Retreat Centre (near Rye, East Sussex). Approx 90 minutes from London.

Cost: £295

Registration: Contact Kimberly.paumier@btinternet.com or phone 0787 9633357

This weekend workshop will be concentrating on structure in a longer piece of fiction, with particular emphasis on the importance and function of the midpoint. The protagonist has reached the deepest part of the woods and now she has to get out again. He has found the elixir, but he doesn’t yet know how to handle it. She has committed the act from which there is no going back, and now it’s time to face the consequences. Through group teaching sessions and one-to-one sessions, this workshop is aimed to get you home again!

(Each writer will submit a one page working synopsis.)

Susannah Waters works as a freelance editor for many best-selling and debut novelists in both the commercial and literary genres. She was a tutor on the Creative Writing Programme at New Writing South and has also taught for the Arvon Foundation and The Literary Consultancy. She has published two novels: Long Gone Anybody (BlackSwan) and Cold Comfort (Doubleday/Black Swan).

Date: Retreat runs from 4pm Friday to 4pm Sunday. All rooms are single occupancy with your own desk. Limited to 9 places – book early to avoid disappointment.

Cost: £310 fully inclusive of tuition, accommodation, and all meals.
